British tennis star Emma Raducanu wraps up this year's campaign and has decided to continue with her coach into the 2026 season.

Raducanu made it to the third stage in three Grand Slam tournaments major tournaments this year.

The British tennis star Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the last two tournaments this season because of a health issue she has been fighting in recent days.

Raducanu, aged 22 had planned to participate in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but chose to travel back to regain her health before starting plans for the 2026 season.

Her upcoming training are set to feature her coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have decided to continue collaborating for the upcoming season.

Raducanu required blood pressure checks while playing the initial match with Ann Li in Wuhan last week and retired when losing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

Another medical visit was necessary a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.

Raducanu was also moving with clear difficulty in the third set against Zhu because of a lower back issue that has been a concern during parts of the season.

These outcomes followed a positive campaign, in which Raducanu rose into the top 30 globally after more than three years for the first time since 2022, ended with three successive defeats.

The athlete was close to victory with three match points before losing to Pegula in the third stage in Beijing last month.

She secured 28 victories during 2025 and made it to the semi-final round in Washington, but her most impressive week was at March's Miami Open.

Ranked first in Britain made the last eight of a premier WTA event, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament before losing in a three-set match to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She worked with Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role ahead of the US Open.

The original arrangement with the former trainer of Nadal was for the remainder of the year but the partnership will continue, with planned training sessions for the end of the year.

She mentioned that the trial session with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

The player was close to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at their first tournament together in Cincinnati in August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she reached the third round before being beaten by Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
