Fabio Paratici Comes Back to Tottenham as Joint Sporting Director Following Two-and-a-Half-Year Suspension
Spurs have confirmed the permanent comeback of Fabio Paratici, who is part of a new leadership structure for the men's team operations.
Paratici stepped down from his position as football managing director in spring 2023 following an attempt to overturn against a two-and-a-half-year ban from football was rejected in Italy. The ban was imposed due to his involvement in alleged false accounting at his previous team, Juventus.
Fresh Management Structure at Tottenham
Paratici will now serve as co-sporting director alongside Johan Lange, who has been promoted from his former position as technical director. The pair will collaborate with chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and head coach Thomas Frank.
“I have been working with Johan, Vinai, and Thomas as a consultant for several months, and I now look forward to returning to London and becoming part of the team full-time,” Paratici commented. “I'm convinced that working in partnership with Johan, we can create a bright future for the club and our fans.”
Tottenham explained that Paratici, who originally came to the team in 2021, and Lange have been assigned with overseeing a framework that will aim to “develop a successful, top-tier men’s team that endures.”
