Former President Trump Says 'Conflict Has Ended' in Gaza as Israeli Authorities Awaits Release of Hostages
Here is a photograph of the British Prime Minister Prime Minister Starmer arriving at the city in Egypt of Sharm el-Sheikh, where a global leadership conference on halting hostilities in Gaza will be conducted on Monday.
During his Middle East visit, the Prime Minister will commit a £20m humanitarian aid package to help provide water, sanitation and hygiene services to Gaza during his Egypt trip today.
This financial support is part of a broader 116 million pound assistance pledge in backing for the Palestinian population throughout 2025.
“The UK will support the subsequent phase of discussions to guarantee the full implementation of the peace agreement, so that civilians from each side can rebuild their lives in safety and security,” the PM is likely to announce.
“This day is the primary, essential step of concluding this conflict and now we must achieve the subsequent step, in full.”
