NFL 2025 season: Week six

Real-time updates includes live text of the weekend matchups on multiple platforms, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, radio commentary is available on designated networks covering a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week in the NFL season , after recent talk about two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their unbeaten records.

Notable during those contests were the amount of infractions both conceded. The Eagles did so in key moments so they kind of defeated themselves after leading 17-3 going into the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, set to play in London this weekend.

However it was positive to see that Denver quarterback Bo Nix managed to have the shortfall and then lead three scoring drives on three possessions in the fourth quarter, to win the victory by four points.

The Broncos have the top defender with CB their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, whereas the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, and Denver won that contest.

They executed effective strategies in terms of disguised blitzes. They weren't always sending more than four pass rushers instead they could plug two LBs in the interior before withdrawing them and send a nickel from the outside.

At the start in the campaign, we said during a show how Denver might emerge as this season's dark horses. They finished last season strongly and excelled in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's dark horses?

Recently acquired tight end Evan Engram has stepped up big and new RB JK Dobbins is a guy the team trusts. He's currently 5th in the NFL for rushing yards (over 400) as well as tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

I love how the coach Sean Payton displays "RUN IT!" prominently of his playcall sheet.

That shows how Denver are a team aiming to prioritize the run, because one can do a lot based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush and keeps you in positive down and distances.

It's also helped quarterback the young passer, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick last year, throwing 29 TDs – just behind a star QB in rookie records (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert possess the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they lack the mobility as Nix. He has incredible passing ability, which is different, plus he's so athletic.

His strengths are his mobility, the capacity to throw on the run, and using varied release points to make the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver precision throws across the middle or over the corner.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he displays great poise under pressure and is not bothered by the blitz. He tries to avoid a sack as much as possible and can throw in tight spots. He possesses sharp intelligence and is quick to decide.

When you constantly rush it eats up time and forces the defence to be in play extended periods, and when you have a mobile QB the defense has to cover the field downfield side to side. It can be exhausting.

The quarterback has pushed back with the coach on the sideline at times and I think the coach likes that fire, seeing him as a fierce rival. I think it's exciting for him to coach a young quarterback that is kind of like moldable clay. The coach can really build something up the way he wants to shape him. I think it's a special experience for him.

The head coach owns a championship and has passed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed it all. In my opinion the achievements Denver are experiencing offensively is mostly due to his leadership, his play-calling, his game sense – and the pairing with the QB helps shape him into who he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they strong enough to go against an elite team at its best? Because that wasn't championship-level play from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, it's unlikely Denver are elite. They're working better than most, that's a solid position to hold the AFC West. The key is is maintain this trajectory.

They excel at leaning into their strength, which is running the ball, and this is precisely what they must do against the Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.

The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards each contest (among the worst), five ground scores this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the only team yet to win a game.

Since the league started recording takeaways in 1933, this team are also the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway in five outings, which is surprising when you think that their new coach was previously a defensive coach with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated the Chiefs have 'already lost too many games' after a recent loss to Jacksonville.

After this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a manageable slate up to their bye (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, Kansas City hold a losing record and the Broncos are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the division.

This hinges on which form Kansas City shows up they face because Denver {beat|def
