Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player secured his maiden title for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult year, managing just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in specific - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and finally separating with former coach Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
This marks his first title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
The win also means the Russian has secured 21 championships at 21 different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is really nice," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child her name, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six finals, including in Halle previously this season.
His retrieving strategy and regular outbursts on the playing surface had caused observers to wonder if his ability to play at the elite level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, striving to come to the net and compete assertively, supported by an better serving game.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his initial ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to create a third set.
Moutet saved four early-game opportunities in a tight third set before the champion secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, he clinched victory with a rally at the net, with his opponent unable to control a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
