The President Calls Loved Ones of Attacked Military Personnel to White House

President Trump announced on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the family of a Guard member fatally shot last week to come to the White House.

He mentioned that he conversed with her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Details on the Heartbreaking Shooting

US army specialist Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a shooting on Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her colleague, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Gatherings across the state have been held in their honor.

Presidential Call

The commander-in-chief said he’s proposed a visit to the White House for the families of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to recognize her,” Trump informed the press. “And similarly with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”

Public Reaction

Attendees came together over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to remember Sarah.

Both they had been fulfilling duties with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to aid law enforcement in the capital.

Honoring Beckstrom

“She was the individual that instructors wished for. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a positive energy that lifted those around her,” Hankins, the principal of her former high school, informed the press. “She was caring, caring and always willing to assist people.”

Funeral plans for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.

Judicial Actions and Policy Revisions

Law enforcement have accused a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.

The event prompted the government to pause asylum applications and temporarily stop providing entry permits to holders of travel documents.

Status of the Airman

The airman, a resident of the city, enlisted in early 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of his local high school, according to the news agency.

He remains under medical supervision and is “battling to survive”, West Virginia governor Morrisey mentioned on television.

The state’s top lawyer the attorney general told Fox News Sunday that she aimed to speak to his relatives.

Memory of Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from Summersville, graduated from her high school in 2023 and joined the military shortly after, serving as a military police officer with excellence, according to the West Virginia National Guard.

“She had a lot of compassion and she definitely had bravery,” the governor informed the crowd at the service. “Though her time ended too soon, she has made an impact that’s going to be remembered always.”
